How Mr. Fish got in touch with its feminine side
Ask just about any local in Myrtle Beach if they know Mr. Fish and they’ll tell you not only is it one of their favorite restaurants, but its co-owner Ted Hammerman (aka Mr. Fish) might be one of their favorite characters. The longtime wholesale fisherman, restauranteur and inventor had opened the original Mr. Fish in the 80s, and while the popular restaurant had various locations and incarnations over the years, Ted eventually moved on to other ventures. From importing/exporting fish to opening fish plants around the world to inventing a tool that allows local fisherman to catch more fish—the United Nations invited him to Sri Lanka to teach people how to use it—Ted’s life and work always involved fish.
