You can’t live on wishes, but you can live on fishes!
Ted and Sheina Hammerman, the father-daughter culinary duo of Mr. Fish, are celebrating their 11th summer serving fresh seafood and delicious meals to locals and tourists in the Myrtle Beach area. Already known for their mouthwatering dishes, the unique restaurant and accompanying fish market started the summer strong with new dishes, a visit from Toby Keith, and a glowing review from the Travel Channel!
“Teddy Hammerman and his daughter Sheina created the legendary Mr. Fish restaurant and seafood market. The restaurant has moved to a larger location on 64th Ave. North on Hwy 17, where you can expect fresh seafood and Southern cooking, including an extensive sushi menu and appetizers such as the fried green tomato tower and shrimp ‘n’ grits.”

Featured Sushi Rolls & Raw Oyster Bar
The chefs behind the Mr. Fish dishes have created perfectly diverse menus to include both a sushi bar and raw oyster bar menus. In addition to exquisite sashimi, nigiri, and chirashi platters, the Blackened Blue Roll (blackened tuna and blue cheese topped with remoulade and raspberry wasabi sauce) was featured in a Southern Living Magazine’s article, “South Carolina’s Best Seafood Spots.” For a little bit of spice and seafood, you won’t be disappointed with the Cajun Grouper Roll of steamed shrimp, avocado, and asparagus topped with seared blackened grouper and spicy mayonnaise.
“We have been going to Mr Fish since they opened. I love the fact that they have so many different things on their menu and it has always been great. We have never had a bad meal there. Sushi, seafood, even their salads are wonderful! The best thing of all is Mai Ling Tse Morgan. She is by far one of the best servers I’ve ever had, which only enhances the experience at Mr Fish!”

“I’m telling you right now that Mr. Fish is the greatest seafood dining experience I have ever encountered. It is a casual atmosphere with endless opportunities. They offer a happy hour and even transportation if you get a little too happy! You can pick any piece of fish and have it fried, blackened, etc. I chose the appetizer that nearly changed my life. There was a crab-filled cheese dip served on a hot place that will put any other appetizer in Myrtle beach to shame.
If you visit Myrtle Beach, or if you are simply passing through, this is a must try place!”

New, Creative Lunch Menu At the Seafood Market
To the delight of everyone that loves indulging their seafood needs at Mr. Fish, the new lunch menu features creative, new recipes every day from 11am to 4pm! Start with the Any Fin Goes appetizer, a smoked fish plate created with old school gastronomy, smoked onsite with onion tomato, capers, and a balsamic fig reduction.
Or fall in love with the Rich Boy, a plate of “oyster and shrimp opulence” – fried oysters and shrimp with melted smoked gouda, tartar, and remoulade on a brioche bun. The Bahn Mi Taco, inspired by the popular Asian sandwich, holds tempura fried fish, pickled carrots, diakon, fresh sliced jalapeños, and a tangy sriracha mayo.

“On a side note, the table behind us had A TON of food allergies & this restaurant went above & beyond to accommodate them. They even called the market & has a piece of sword fish brought it for them. Hardly any restaurants offer that kind of customer service these days!”
